Rozanne Reszel is President & CEO of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund, a fund created by the investment industry to ensure client assets are protected if a CIPF member becomes bankrupt.
She is an ex-officio Director of CIPF. Prior to joining CIPF, Rozanne spent four years as Nesbitt Thomson in various capacities, leaving as Vice President of Client Services. She also spent five years with the Investment Dealers Association, (predecessor to the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization) as head of its member regulation department. In both these capacities, she participated extensively in industry committees.
Rozanne earned her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2007 and became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 2000. She became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1991 and completed an MBA at Harvard Business School in 1986. Rozanne obtained her CA in 1979, while at Touche Ross & Co. and prior to that completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Waterloo in 1977. She has been an active volunteer board member for community organizations such as the Design Exchange, Providence Centre, the Southdown Institute and the Audit Committee of the Toronto District School Board.
