You can get insurance to help you pay:
- Medical costs not covered by your province’s health care plan
- Rent, mortgage, or other debts, including credit cards
- Monthly bills
- Unexpected bills.
3. How much car insurance do I need?
You can buy insurance to:
- Fix or replace your car after an accident or theft
- Pay medical bills or claims if someone gets hurt or dies in a car accident in which you are involved
- Pay for damage to property caused by your car.
4. How much home insurance do I need?
You can buy insurance to:
- Fix or replace items if they are damaged or stolen
- Repair damage you cause to other people's property
- Repair damage to your home from fire, floods, or other disasters
- Pay claims if someone gets hurt while in your home.
5. Do I need extra health or dental insurance?
Your provincial plan doesn’t cover everything. You can buy extra insurance to pay for:
- Prescription drugs
- Special services (physiotherapy, nursing care, chiropractic)
