For many retiring Canadians, the economic downturn may mean a change in plans. A 2009 Ipsos Reid survey found:
- One in five surveyed don’t expect their retired lifestyle will be as comfortable as they had thought
- Nearly half of those who plan to retire after age 65 worry they will not have saved enough.
The survey of 1,200 Canadians included 518 boomers between the ages of 50 and 69.
