What is OSC in the Community?

OSC in the Community is an outreach program that takes the Ontario Securities Commission’s (OSC) regulatory mandate from Bay Street to Main Street.

OSC staff travel to communities across Ontario to talk to people about making informed financial decisions and avoiding investmentInvestment An item of value you buy to get income or to grow in value.+ read full definition fraud. We also listen to everyday Ontarians about their financial and investing concerns to help us reduce regulatory burden and improve the investor experience. 

OSC in the Community events are free and available to all Ontarians, including consumer and investor groups, community groups, multicultural groups, newcomers, retirement communities, and clubs and associations.

We partner with organizations and community groups to provide their members with unbiased information about investing and investment fraud.
